Hey, it's been a little while since again. So it's been a bit over a month since I set out to work a full time job, and I have some updates I wanted to post here! I'm not dead, I swear!
So this job has honestly been going probably as well as it can for a first time job haver like myself. I definitely have been extremely tired, and in the past few weeks I've had undoubtedly one of the most stressful weeks I've had in years. I was getting slammed by literally everything, but I'm proud to report this week has once again returned to smooth sailing.
As it stands, the pace I had hoped for which I'd release content has shifted drastically. I'm not sure if it will stay this way, but for the foreseeable future, I have been and am going to be busy with the new FFXIV expansion and trying to keep up with drawings somewhat. This is all just to say I don't know how often I will get to be writing in the following weeks or even months. I do have one story for Adventures in an Uneventful Actaera that's gotten some work on it done, but it'll be tentative to when it'll be completely finished alongside an illustration as well.
I've been pretty satisfied with my art lately, though, so that's something I definitely want to shine a light on! I drew my first complex background piece in a long while, the one with Halvatt, Ren, and Aidan in a marketplace, and I'm proud of myself! There is much to be improved and I'm still far from knowing what I'm doing, but I think I am proud of how far I've come. It makes me a little sad to think I won't be progressing at art as quickly or something because I have less time now, but as long as I'm still making progress and able to learn, I can't complain too much. I tried participating a bit in Artfight again this year but couldn't find the time or motivation to really attack people or put myself out there. I did manage two attacks/one defence and one attack though. Maybe I've just grown out of it or something haha.
Some good news is that I'm finally starting to settle into my job, I'm still not on the schedule I was hired for, but I'm crossing my fingers I'll be moved to that shift in the next week or two. I also have just been in a nice mood lately because merch I ordered of my OCs from a while ago have finally arrived! Here's some choice pictures of them...I haven't been able to take them anywhere cool yet for photos because I'm, as you know, very swamped with things in life at the moment, but I am planning to take them with me when I go to interesting places! I do worry a bit about losing stuff though, especially the plush...
But yeah! I'm currently working on a drawing for Kagerou Project month because I'm a silly weeb, I hope to post that soon, and then it'll likely be back to the OC content grind for me. Gonna give it my all and aim for a happy next few weeks!
